2003 version of my 1998/99 Plan X idea.
Python interpreter as a micro-kernel with transparent Python object filesystem.
As Gavin Nicol pointed out, Stackless Python would be very appropriate for this.
Started looking into micro-kernels to sit Python on. VSTa looks interesting.
This project is now called Cleese. See there from now on.
