ApplePy is an emulator, written in Python, of both the 6502 chip and (the beginnings of) other hardware aspects of the Apple II computer.
It was first developed in May 2001 and hosted on SourceForge. My then colleague Alex Ceponkus came up with the name.
It remained untouched until October 2006 when I started a rewrite of the 6502 implementation from scratch in a more modular fashion and coded on Google Code Project.
This rewrite was abandoned and, in 2011, I cleaned up the original 2001 implementation and put the code on GitHub.
