Email Outage

If you've sent me email in the last 18 hours, I haven't been able to read it and may not be able to do so for some time. My mail provider has had an outage (8+ hours so far) and is claiming that it will still be hours before service is returned.

UPDATE (2005-11-12): Email is still down. Could turn out to be days. Looks like Merlin Mann uses the same mail host.

UPDATE (2005-11-13): I woke up this morning and mail was working. Unfortunately iMac isn't.

Me too. :-(

I wanted to email a question on Leonardo, but perhaps you could answer it on the Leonardo:

How do I upload an image via the wiki (or failing that, where do I put it in the lfs) such that it comes up for an embedded [image ] (i.e. <img>) link?

Can't wait for that Leonardo Wiki. ;-)

James Tauber on Nov. 12, 2005:

When you're logged in, there's a Upload File link in the bottom left which you can use to upload arbitrary files to anywhere in the LFS.

The path should be relative to the root of your site, e.g. images/2005/lumberjack.jpg

The "Content Type" should be the extension 'jpg'

Thanks James! I managed to figure it out myself in the meantime, with some trial and error.

There were some cgi-root issues that were the cause of much of my consternation.

My current test setup is now using cgi-root: / and Apache url rewriting with .htaccess.

My migration to Leonardo is slowly getting there...

I'll be releasing a beta of 0.7 soon. I hoped to do so this weekend but mail being out has delayed a lot of things.
