New Pyworks

As I'm adding more committers to my open source projects, I decided it might be worth getting a dedicated mac mini for pyworks.org rather than sharing it with my other sites.

So I ordered another mini through macminicolo and it's up and running. I haven't switched over to using it yet, though.

A new version of subversion is out and new versions of Python and Trac are due out soon.

I think I'll wait for Python 2.5 and Trac 0.10 and then make the move.

Manuzhai on Sept. 15, 2006:

Be aware that ClearSilver, the templating engine that Trac uses, crashes Python 2.5 for now. See the Python community buildbots at pybots.org. The ClearSilver developer is on vacation right now, so it might take a couple of weeks to fix this, too.

James Tauber on Sept. 16, 2006:

Thanks for the tip. I guess it should be straightforward for me to run tracd on 2.4 until that's fixed.

Waldemar on Oct. 20, 2006:

Trac from SVN trunk uses Genshi for templating so ClearSilver is not an issue.
Are brave enough to run unreleased version?

James Tauber on Oct. 23, 2006:

Not sure if I want to roll out a dev version across the site.
